That means that the old men never do anything but "pray" by reciting words from the Quran (muslim holy book) and praying with the beads. The beads are from a long necklace that muslims use to pray with. They just thumb every bead and pray. There are saying that the bearded people don't teach good and that there is only one sin, which is theft. I am muslim an afghan, so I know. And the name "baba" means father.
