I have been working very hard on my Credit Rating and have found that if I started with a Credit Card with a low limit and paid it off monthly it would help. Can you guys help me with the names of some reputable Credit Card Companies that would allow me a small credit limit and help me build my Credit back up Thanks Jeff

Try your local department stores and gas stations. Those are easiest to get.

Next try your local bank if you have an account there. If not open one and then apply.

If you cannot get any of those cards the backup is a debit card. You should be able to get that because it comes right out of your bank account

You can get a cc but be prepared to have high interest rates and possibly other high fees. If you do get a credit card keep the balance low enough where you can pay in full each month. That way you can try to avoid the high rates and fees. If you do so you can build your credit pretty fast.

Almost any card would qualify for this. Just specify the amount of credit you want and make sure it doesn't have a monthly fee. If you want to be really slick, find a card with frequent flier miles and pay your mortgage and other living expenses with it. Just pay it off each month and you get free flights.

I used Orchard bank and First Premier and Capital One after my BK.

Yes they had fees and high interest but I got around the interest by paying in full every month.

In 2 years I raised my score over 150-points.
