This is why I wish the law forced all manufacturers and sellers to list foreign content vs. American content on ALL products.
Do you even know where your juice is manufactured?
As for the "money goes back to Japan" bs, hmmm, the money spent on American cars only supports stockholders and the couple UAW workers, it surely does not "go back" to the hundreds of thousands of former suppliers who lost their homes and futures when the UAW decided to force the Big 3 to outsource the content in the car.
And, most "American" made cars are put together in Canada, or Mexico.
The Nascar fans just buy the bs the unions are pushing. Try asking former tool & die workers and suppliers about the "American" made bs.
And Toyota is creating more American wealth (through suppliers and jobs) than the Big 3 have created in over 10 years.
Come to Michigan and see how great the American auto companies are treating this state.

The Toyota's you buy at the dealership are Japanese designed, and the profits go back to Japan. For all intents and purposes, Toyota is not an American car company in the slightest.
That being said, Toyota in NASCAR is 100% American. The entire car was designed and built in this country by Americans. The engine is a unique design that has no relation to any production engine from Japan. It was developed exclusively by TRD in California. The tranny is the same American made 4 speed that the Chevy, Ford, and Dodges use, and the rear end is a Ford 9".
I spent the day Sunday hanging out with David Reutimanns #00 Burger King Toyota, and checked out as much as I could. They have top quality American made parts throughout the car. See for yourself:

Toyota is linked with the Japan vehicle maker so precise off this makes it non eligible for NASCAR yet specific fashions are geared up interior america of a so this gray area makes it criminal.via the comparable college of concept avert is owned via Dalmer a German company so component is mute. the super gripe is that Toyota is asserting it won't sell kit to the self reliant communities. the different manufactures do yet Toyota has pop out and reported no independents that's a great component to many followers.

Toyota was originally not an American made product, and still is not an American corporation... so it's not that they are uneducated. It's that some of us don't accept change, and NASCAR has always been AMERICAN-BRED racing. Give it some time, the Stewart/Hamlin/Busch fans make up a decent percentage of the NASCAR fans, so if most of them conform to the JGR/Toyota swap then more fans will become accepting. This is only there first season, just give it time.

While Camry's are indeed American made (and the new Mustang is not) the company itself is not American. Toyota is a japanese company and will be that way not matter what.
A car must have like 68% of it manufactured in the US to be American made. This includes the parts made for the car.

Toyota Motor Corporation or Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki-gaisha is a japanese multinational corporation. The company was founded in 1937 by Kiichiro Toyoda. It is a spi-off from his dad's Toyota Industries.
The first Japanese car to be exported to the USA is the Toyota Crown and the first Toyota's American and Brazilian divisions, Toyota Motor Sales Inc and Toyota do Brazil SA was established.
The first Toyota to be built outside Japan was in Port Melbourne, Australia in April 1963.
The world hq of Toyota is located in Toyota, Aichi, Japan.
Hope this info helps.

Pontiac GTO's are made along side it's sister counterpart the Holden Monaro in Australia! One of the reasons was to avoid the UAW. GM owns Holden.
Unions are the only reason I don't work at a car dealer. They make you strike for a $0.25 raise. Then you lose 3 months of work which you'll never get back even with the raise. While your off work they make you stand with a picket sign telling people not to patron the company that writes your PAYCHECK! All the while, the union still gets there full dues while laid off! Nice!
Buy the way, the Pontiac Vibe and the Toyota Matrix are virtually the same car made with Toyota components.
Toyota is a foreign company and IMO maker of the lamest cars and ugliest trucks.

Toyota is still a Japanese company no matter where they build cars at. Yes the Camry is built here but many of their cars are not. They employ a few thousand workers here. GM, Ford, and Chrysler employ hundreds of thousands each.
We do still make American cars in the US. Yes some are built in Mexico, Canada, Europe, and even Asia.
You are just ignorant and unwilling to actually look up the info.
Panama - The Mustang is built in Flat Rock Michigan. Last time I checked that's in the US.

Your generalizations are incorrect. Yes, some of the cars produced by U.S. based companies are manufactured outside the United States. And yes, Japanese based companies are assembling some of their vehicles in the U.S.
I don't care if it's a Toyota truck made in Indiana or a Ford truck built in Kentucky. What I do care about is that Toyotas are made in scab factories by scab workers. Ford, GM and Dodge are all union made.
And "people" is spelled with vowels. Looks to me like you have a few things left to learn.
P.S. I've been to college and I'm a NASCAR fan. Not uneducated.

Note, not all NASCAR fans are uneducated. Toyota as a company is not based in the US. You are correct though, they are made in I believe I heard them say California mostly. Your also correct, "American Cars" are not made here, that's for sure.
