I have been dating this guy for a little over a month now, and we had a GREAT weekend together this last weekend. We were talking though Sun night, and I brought up the fact that he doesn't call me as much as he used to, and that he didn't seem as interested (hindsight, probably shouldn't have said anything, but it had been bugging me) and that I just wanted to make sure I wasn't a booty call. He pretty much went cold and told me that he wasn't ready for a relationship, and if that was what I wanted then we need to part our ways. My question, though is - if you are dating someone, isn't that considered a "relationship" - I don't know if I even want something long term or anything yet with this guy, I wasn't even asking him to be exclusive. I was going to call him tonight and talk more, as we have been sending some emails back and forth, and now it sounds like he just wants to "be friends". Should I just move on, try to be friends with him, or try to find out where he is coming from?

Ah. Im in almost the same boat as you woman! Ive been with this guy for about 3 months now.. we were friends and then dated for about a month and it feels like all im good for is a booty call like we are just friends with benefits and thats all.. so we ended up breaking up because his job requires him to travel during the week and stuff and he flat out said that he wasnt ready for a realtionship and hes not sure what he wants (btw he is 25) but just last night he said he couldnt sleep because he was thinking about his new place, job and ME! and i was like.. what?! so i guess after all the confusion he still does care about me which makes me want to keep at it.. i mean why shoudl i give up on a guy who feels like he coule be my second half-- so like the other coment said.. rome wasnt built in a day- so if you really like this guy.. take your time, hang out and do things together and he will eventually realize what a wonderful woman you are

good luck*
