Even though I know the answer, I have the urge to share this one with you:
A father and son get in a heavy car accident. The father dies, and the son is rushed to hospital by an ambulance. Upon arrival in the hospital the doctor says:
"This is my son!"
Question is: Who is the doctor?

Got this one from a book which is about intuition and 'constrained' thinking. Indeed, we tend to think about doctors being male ... and because of this, many people (this has been researched) just don't come up with the answer 'Mother'.

It's the mother.
This joke was on an old episode of the Cosby Show. Not sure if that's where you got it from or not... if so, you forgot to say that upon arrival, the OLD DOCTOR. The reason is that people tend to think of old doctors as male.
