He's quite a bit older than me, like he's in his forties and i'm 14, but i'm pretty sure he likes me back... maybe he's just worried about having a relationship with me because of my age?

Maybe he just likes you because you could be his daughter (or even granddaughter)
you are being a very very silly girl. You cannot make people fall in love with you they do or they don't.
As for a relationship because of your age he should be a relationship with you would be considered statutory rape and he would be labelled a pedophile and sex offender.
So stop being such a selfish child and act your age

Honey,I'm sorry that you don't have enough love in your life and that you feel that low about yourself that you have to go and date a forty year old man. I want you to step back and think about this logically here. You're 14 he's in his 40's. That means that by the time you are old enough to have a rel relationship with him, 21 or 22, he'll be at least in his fifties if not close to his sixties. He'll almost be dead before you and he can actually enjoy one another. Trust me honey, I wanted to be loved at your age too because I dodn't think I was getting it at home and I got married at 17 and had babies and then I became a single mom to three and finally realized that I had ruined my who high school career worrying about having sex and getting pregnant and being loved that I had missed out on all the important things I should have been doing. You're just a kid and I konw you don't want to hear that but it is the truth. Leave him alone because if he does try to do something with you and gets caught, if you really do love him, he's going to be labeled a child molester for the rest of his life. That means if he gets caught now and then you two do decide to be together when you turn 18 you have to live the rest of your life listening to others talk about him like he's a pervert. Take my advice and just leave it alone. Go out with your girl friends and forget all about him. Flirt with a boy at the mall and move on! I know you think you love him but you don't. Leave him alone for both of your sakes!

Sweetheart this is not healthy for you to go after a 40 year old man. He would not only be morally wrong to have a relationship with you but he will end up in jail. So with that being said you should talk to a school counselor about why you are feeling this way.

you don't even want to entertain a relationship with a 40 Year old man..... He is not going to be interested in you if he is a good guy. you are not old experienced enough in relationships to know how to deal with adult problems and love. You need to have fun with guys your on age. maybe a year older or so but not older. please don't do this to your self .... move on and have fun with your teenage friends ... You have plenty of time to find someone your on age.

listen as cute or nice as you think he is you can't go out with him. you are still young, and he is old enough to be your dad.
for people to help you out you need to tell them why you like him. i am going to guess it is because he has money, he is nice to you, and your hormones are going crazy right now. i doubt that he likes you as a girlfriend, he probably just thinks you are a nice young lady. you are to young to be dating right now anyways the only thing you should be worried about is your school work. stay away from him.
