well I've heard both opinions but I base my answer on Genesis 24.
Isaac took Rebecca in his tent and had sex with her and they were "married." Thats what me and my boyfriend are basing our beliefs on. We are getting married in the spring so we express our love and commitment through making love.

The bible states that it is. In my case, I set that requirement for me. I think it's a good idea, because sex before marriage brings in a lot of emotional consequences, and other unwanted things. The thought is, that atleast if ur married, ur spouse will be there for u should u get pregnant, and u can talk about things, so u know he's clean. I don't preach this much..even though I think it's the best course of action(i've heard many who regreted loosing it before marriage..guys too), because I understand how powerful hormones and peer pressure can be. Common sense goes out the window, and ur left with the baggage, u see urself differently, and so do others. I would storongly recommend u wait until ur an adult though. U need enough money to support u and others if u have sex. I only say this because abstinence is the only form of birth control with a 100% guarentee. IF u don't engage in sexual activity, u won't get pregnant, or get an STD. And u won't feel like crap because a guy let u go for the next girl he wanted to lay. Girls handle things differently than guys do. Guys will say they care, and they will...if they see u, but as soon as ur outta sight, ur outta mind. If he doesn't truly love u, or have anything besides sex invested in u, then once ur not physically with him(sitting right there), he won't care how his actions made u feel.

well, according to doctrine, it is frowned upon to have sex before marriage, but there are certain things that people tend to forget.
i am a Christian male, 20 years old, and I haven't had sex yet. Not because i haven't been trying, but whatever. the point is, marriage is an institution that is being pushed later and later into life, but i don't think that it was intended that way. sex is something that is meant to be enjoyed, and not solely for the purpose of procreation.
sex is something that ought to be reserved for a loving, committed relationship between two consenting adults.

You have to decide--i think you should wait until marriage, but in a real world , not very people wait. My husband and I waited, but we had a short engagement---and both of us have kids!!! (from previous marriages). There is nothing better than married love and making love with your husband/wife---I couldnt imagine making love with another --he's the only one who looks good when it comes to that.
If you and your bf wait, it will be for your protection, and you know God put you together--just have a short engagement!(ha)

According to most Christian faiths it is.
That doesnt really stop most kids though, what you need to ask yourself is: Is sex wrong for me before marriage? and then pray about it and see His answer for you. Also don't make a mistake if you're still a teenager that you might regret

Yes!
He went on: "What comes out of a man is what makes him 'unclean.' For from within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and make a man 'unclean.' " Mark 7:20-23

thats exactly what God's word says...lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21) and fornication(sex before marriage) is one of them...so definitely it is wrong to have sex before marriage, i didnt say it, God did, n we ought to obey Him
