WOW!!! If this was me....When the first word came out of her month... My mom would have been all over her. Like a snake on a rat...but your mom was very kind to her. Which that lady should have been more nicer and just asked your mom to leave the campus...

No. Mom was not right. She should have made a phone call first, asked someone in the office if it was okay for you to visit. And then stopped in and gotten visitor passes.
How could that teacher know that you and Mom weren't hiding a bomb, or whatever other nasty thing that crazy people do these days? Yeah, that's a bit far fetched, but there are lots of crazies out there. This teacher was protecting her school from a possible threat as she saw it. In these days of bombs, and knives and guns in schools, it is not unrealistic of this teacher to be wary of strangers walking thru the hallways. Can't be too careful.

I started middle school today and lemme tell ya, the teachers will tell you EVERYTHING. They tell you how much homework you'll get, what books you need, where your classes are.. etc My homeroom teacher gave us a schedule at the beginning of the day but it might be different at your school.. The teachers are always nice on the first day so don't worry. Oh, and about the homework.. You do get more homework but relax, It's not that hard. So trust me.. its EASY

A reasonable teacher would have asked for a pass or directed you to the front office. I would have your mom contact the front office to straighten out what was the misunderstanding. If you don't your are liable to have this teacher for one of your classes which could be hell.
If the administration tells you mom not to be concerned, in the future if you have this teacher they will have a record of this conflict and would put you in another class.
When you buy groceries you should always open the egg cartons because there are always a few bad eggs.

first of all, we are allowed to visit any school at any time as long as we check in at the front office and get visitor passes...if it is the way you say it is, your Mom handled it fine, I might have even went to the front office and asked what the problem was...don't worry though, it'll blow over and be forgotten..have fun in school!
