I don't really thing weddings should have "themes"...I mean, it isn't a prom! As for colors and songs...It's all just personal taste. Personally, I would go with favorite colors. Don't just see a dress in a pretty color and say, "oh, that's the bridesmaid's dress" and try to match the whole wedding to it. I tried it, and ended up choosing my favorite color ( I used pink and black).
Songs...same thing. It depends on what style of music you like. If you want traditional wedding music, there's tons to choose from. Personally, I always loved "Unchained Melody" and used in in my wedding. But, I also used my favorite modern love song as well. Good luck.

A wedding should be a personal statement about the two being united. What are their passions in life? The theme, colors and songs should speak volumes about the bride and groom and who they are as individuals and who they will be once they are joined as one. Ask them these questions and then brainstorm on their replies.

I have always wanted someone to use the song "come what may" from the movie moulin rouge as a wedding song. but the theme and colors depend on the bride and grooms style.

Is there anything you can say about the couple? It's best to choose according to their style and personalities. What are their favorite pastimes, movies, music, etc. What kind of couple are they?
