Do you know all protestants? If not you shouldn't make statements like that.
Granted, I have no doubt there are MANY who are "know it alls" but that still doesnt' mean that they all are.
And as for disagreements regarding scripture...well, it is just bound to happen. Everyone want to try and twist the Bible so it fits their beliefs. When in reality you're supposed to adjust your own beliefs to fit in with what the Bible says.
Everyone has their own reason for doing it, but it seems it mainly comes back to the fact that humans are flawed, and we need to try to justify those flaws.
I personally think it's sad that they can't just accept that they aren't perfect. It's not that hard, and it's not the end of the world. If you really read the Bible and believe what it has to tell us, then you understand that our flaws are nothing to hide. We should recognize them and do our best to overcome those flaws.

I know what you mean they are very opinionated. I can not say I disagree with their belief in the scriptures, although several uses part or combination of verses to make their point. The best way to find who is right read the verses they quote to make sure they are use them right. I have a nephew and several cousins who are preachers. You think you have it tough.

Because God said that Scripture is "line upon line, precept upon precept and here a little and there a little." Scripture can have more than one correct answer. I am female, but it is also true that I am a grandmother, a mother, a wife and a friend. There is more than one explanation for me, but all are correct.

The honest answer is coz.. each one intreprets the Bible in the way god reveals it to them.. for instance in the first verse of the Bible it says "in the begining god created the heaven and the earth".. u coud form tons of meanings or explanation one is it.. the first verse in the begining.. god.. so it means tat u should start ur life/day and every moment wid him.. well another person could say it implies only to creation..
the point of discontent arises when each one is adamant on having each ones point accepted..
What i would advise take what the spirit admonishes.. thats best for you

The Bible says the Holy Spirit is the believer's Teacher, not man. If you actually read the Bible, you'd know this. People are at different stages of learning from the Lord, but you must be saved to even be learning, and catholics are not saved Christians, since they have a false gospel of works.
And there is no "pope" in the Bible, so the accusation of each being his own "pope" is stupid. Jesus hates those that get inbetween the Lord and the individual believer, that's why the "pope" over in the genocidal Vatican is an antichrist.

We like to give you lots of choices, so we all get together and decide who's going to take what interpretation of scripture so that we make as many options for you as possible. Do you believe that?

It's complicated and subject to varying interpretations. That's why there are a lot of denominations.
