Switch doctors!! Do a DBT and IMR group before you quit.

You have not been on the 75mg of Effexor for very long.
I don't think you should be in a big hurry to stop taking it.
If you don't think you have a very good doctor, so find another one. Once you have done that you can talk about your Effexor with the new one. Good Luck

First of all, I would advise you to change doctors if possible. Believe me, I know how much of a difference it can make between having a doctor you and can to and work with and one you can't.

Your lowered dosage should really be monitored by a doctor, though, and not handled on your own. Coming off of a medication (especially one you have been on for so long) can have major side effects.

Good luck

Do listen to a doctor, to change medication doses.

If you are unhappy with your doctor, request a change in doctors. It makes a big difference to your mental health, if you have faith in your psychiatrist!
