Hey guys I have this best frind of mine in college. We are like the best of buds. Well lately I have been noticing her getting increasingly jealous when I hang out with other girls. I asked her what the problem is and she said there isn't one. I mean she already has a bf (long distance) so I just dont understand why she wants all this attention from me alone. Are most women like this? Can someone please explain to me why this girl is jealous?

maybe she likes you as more than a friend, but doesn't want to tell you... because she thinks it'll weird out your best friend relationship, or because she has a long distance boyfriend. I know you've asked her, but try having a long talk with her... it might help.

good luck!

maybe she likes you, I think that she probably does and maybe the reason she has not said anything about it is because you are her best friend and maybe she thinks if she says anything she might make you feel awkward around her or feel different about her because of the fact that she likes you, or maybe she feels that if anything ever happened between the two of you and something went wrong maybe it would ruin what you already have and she probably does not want to loose the friendship that you do have,

or maybe she thinks that you have been spending more time with these other girls than you are your best bud. are you time managing well?

Women are competitve by nature and don't like to share their friends very well. She probably sees another woman as someone who will jeopardize your friendship and she is probably correct. If you have a girlfriend that does not understand that your relationship with you friend is platonic problems usually arise. So don't be concerned too much about this just be a good friend.

She doesn't necessarily "like" you in that way, but like most humans is possessive of what she deems as her property. You are her "male friend" , she does not want to share you with other females. On some deep caveman level, you are male, and as such, a potential mate, and they are potential competition. It's not a "love" thing, it's an innate human survival instinct thing. And as every "player" knows, the best way to get a girl more interested in you is to ignore her for someone else.

She is jealous because she likes you. I think that this happens a lot in long term friendships because of the amount of time you spend together. It doesn't help that her boyfriend is far away, she leans on you to be the man in her life and she doesn't like sharing you with other girls.

It's the nature of human kind. We all (male & female) want primary attention when it comes to people we care about : bf, parents, sisters, brothers, friends etc. Nothing out of ordinary. Enjoy the friendship.

She's using you for the attention she is lacking from her bf since it is long distance . . . while she does not want you as more than a friend she also does not want to lose the attention you give her since he's not around.

Sounds like a possessive issue...even though you and she aren't dating, she knows if you do get involved with someone her time with you will be much less. She'd rather have you to herself since her bf isn't local.

despite the fact that she has a boyfriend, that doesn't mean that she doesn't have feelings for you.

she wants attention from you. you just might be the person who fills a void in her life where her boyfriend should be. she might be getting feelings for you because you two are so close.
