If you are refering to Genesis 6 there are two debated meanings.
Option 1:
Sons of God (the righteous line of Seth)
Sons of man (the unrighteous line of Cain)
Option 2:
Sons of God: Fallen Angels
Sons of man: mankind in general
You'll have to study this one for yourself. I go with option 1, but scholars differ.

Sons of God is considered for the whole world and the civilizations and comunities created by God and controlled by him.
Sons of Man is a part for the whole where God has blessed the man with all the good that is happening and further the man will pass it on to his children, whether directly or indirectly God has blessed all of us includung Adam and Eve.

Now, you're in twubble!!!! HA HA HA!!! "now are we the sons of God, and it does not yet appear..." "they that are "led" of the Spirit, they are the sons of God.." "to as many as received Him, to them He gave power to "become" sons of God, ... Does this imply that God has "more sons?" Oh! My goodness! It sure does! But the question is,,, "you mean like Jesus?"- Theeee Son of God? Uh, Duh, What do we think the term "Christ Like" in the bible means anyway? "Like Christ!" and how would this be possible? You mean to tell me, that our Lord God, went through all this thinking this "plan of Salvation" from beginning to end,(Alpha and Omega) all of these promises, all of these blessings, hopes, etc. and is going to leave us "on our own" and take us to a place where we never been before, and we aren't going to be like Him? and still be accepted? After All that work, all that planning, all that "making it simple for us to understand, (so we can screw it up) we just throw up our arms and give up and say it's not possible, and surrender to "not being all we could have been" when He made it where we really could...this does make sense....sons of God...we keep going for the goal...sons of men..."give up and quit trying" and say "whats the use......

If you are refering to Genesis chapter 6 I have been told the Sons of God were the Holy decendants of Seth and the Sons of man were the corrupt decendants of Cain.

It seems fairly obvious from the Bible's usage that all those that exist because of God direct command, the angels & Adam these are called "sons of God."
General mankind that came into being because of the union of Adam and Eve are called sons of men.
Thus Jesus because of having been begotten by Holy Spirit, and because of his pre-human existence is called God's son; he is also shown to be God's firstborn. However, because Mary gave birth to him, he is frequently called "son of man." In the OT, Daniel referenced Christ as "son of man" in Daniel chapter 7.
Of course, in the NT several such references are made about Jesus.

The Son of God is Jesus Christ and he was also the Son of Man being both man and God at the same time he took on human form in our likeness to fulfill the prophecy of the old testament.

The angels are exclusively referred to as "sons of God."
In Gen. 6, the children resulting from relations between human woman and fallen angels were NOT called the sons of God. Rather, they are known as the Nephalim: men of power, wealth, and renown. They were giants. They were also wiped out by God with the Flood.
While on earth, to accentuate his humanity, Jesus Christ referred to Himself as the Son of Man. He is also the only Son of God...not sons of God...Son of God...there is a huge difference.
Sons of man is just what it says, all the males humans born to a set of human parents.
