Urgent Request.?

Question

I know someone who is in a sexually abusive relationship. For 3 months I have been trying to convince her to take action but the progress we are making is slow. She would like to meet people who have shared her experience. It could help her. Please answer if you are interested.

PS—No retarded answers like "tell her call 911" or "tell her to dump him". As if I haven't tried, geniuses. For those who'll ask what the question is, it's, have you had this experience and are you willing to talk to my friend?

Offer to go with her to tell the police, as her support system. Then you can sit right by her and hold her hand through the process. She needs to go to some kind of therapy, there is usually free sexual abuse support groups in the evening, she may want to try on of those programs.

first off. I CAN help. My mother was in a sexually abusive relationship. When relationships like these get completely out of control, it CAN it MAY lead to murder. I know that sounds extreme but it can happen. Take heed at what I'm talking about, My mother almost lost her life because of a jerk she was with!!! He would hit her and leave bruises on her, welps and all it was doing was killing her. Hunny NO ONE is worth your life!! She may think that he loves her but if he really and sincerely loved her he wouldn't force her to do anything out of her will. Tell my story to her. And see if it'll knock some since into her. There are groups here on yahoo and on some other sites that are "survivor" groups. We welcome all who need help dealing with abuse, rape, domestic violence....

This might be ideal for her in that she can relate to others yet maintain some anonymity while she sorts things out.
