I have, but isn't that what raising children, and now grandchildren is all about? Trying to give them more opportunity and desiring for them to have the best life that they can?
Anything that I may have sacrificed may have been as little as money and time, but in the big picture it was returned with so much love, that I really can't count it as a sacrifice.

Mostly contact with them. My sister and her husband turned against me when I made the mistake of getting involved in an argument between them. So My Steve said perhaps the best I could do for them was to function as a common enemy. It's true: the one thing they agree on is that I am an awful person.
And Lexi, my surrogate daughter who lives in California? Had I stayed there, where the cost of living was so high, I would have become a burden on her. I came to St. Louis for a lower cost of living to prevent that, and to prevent getting in between her and her husband, whom I cannot trust.
My three best friends all live in southern Illinois, a couple of hours away. They can seldom afford the time or the money for gas to come see me, so I don't pester . . . too much.

Sacrifice(Slaughter) is a Dead end.
Sacrifice is what God will NOT have,
notably Not then, Not now, Not ever:
Touch Not, Taste Not, Handle Not.
2/3 = 0.666...to infinity of Nothing
3/3 = 1.000...to eternity of Everything
"I will have mercy(grace), and not sacrifice(law)".
Ps 40:6; 51:16; Hos 6:6; Mt 9:13: 12:7; Heb 10.
Eg: John-Paul II said: sacrifice must continue.
News Flash: John-Paul II is DEAD = not alive.
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

So much and whether or not I got anything from it..a lesson was till learned. You do it because you love these people and hope that they will do the same for you in your time of need!

I can't think of anything in particular. I haven't had an occasion to make any sacrifices, thankfully.
