The Irony of gun control is it does not stop gun sales. There are large gun markets all over the world where you can buy these weapons. You just can't get caught. Iran, Syria, Russia, china, and North Korea to name a few make ends meet by selling off their stockpiles of arms. Unofficially of course. some are manufactured in the terrorists home country. ( again unofficially) but most are left overs from communism. the AK-47 is cheap and abundantly available world wide ( except here in the U.S.) making it the rifle of choice. The real trick is funding the terrorists so they can buy these weapons. Next time your buddies try to tell you pot is harmless think about how many AK-47's a pound of pot can buy.

Mostly Iran, North Korea, Syria, China, Saudi Arabia, especially Russia (mostly from the former Soviet Union), and from other warlords from almost every country in the world that has access to weapons. It can't be avoided as someone will always risk the job for the money it entails.

It's easier to find a AK-47 than toliet paper in most of the 3rd world......

At the start of the war they looted the Iraqi armies storehouses. Lately, Iran and Syria are shiping stuff in over the borders.

The world is full of Black-Market war surplus weapons
and many people interested in selling them on for money.

Getting your hands on military grade small arms and ammunition on up to rocket propelled grenades and anti aircraft rockets is child's play if you have the money.

during the cold war countries now deemed terror states took advantage of both the us and russia. we both fed them weapons and money to use against each other and they were really used for their own wars. it was just lucky for them that these countries were either us or russia supported. the russian underground is still supplying weapons along with countries like china, syria and lebenon.
