So my ex girlfriend who I still have really deep feelings for is still living in our hometown while I am away at school. She is supposed to come visit me in a couple weeks and we talk on the phone often. She went out drinking the other night with one of her friends and when I called her, she said she'd call me in the morning. I got a voice mail from her at 1 am while I was asleep and havn't heard from her since. I called and left a voice mail telling her I was worried and that I would like to hear from her just to know she was OK, and that I knew she was at work (or supposed to be) so I would wait to hear from her when she got off. I'm afraid something happened, should I call her?

YES. You sound pretty concerned so for your own peace of mind give her a call. If you still get her voicemail or can't speak direct, call her mother casually. Don't scare the wits out of the poor woman though and wind her up like you are yourself. Just pass the time of day and leave a message for your ex to call you back. You'll find out during your chat with the mother whether everything's OK or if her daughter's in trouble. If she still doesn't call you back then it's time to forget her. She is already your ex and you're her ex (still hoping to get back with her by the sound of it). Make her really your ex this time and get a new life or you'll be on her string forever.
