And "Love your enemy"..

If I told people, Be kind, respect and love each other, but everyone became hateful and ignorant. Is that my fault or is that the ignorance of the human race?

This story is in comparison with Christianity.
The originator of Christianity is Jesus Christ.
He preached to the world about loving each other and loving even the people that hate you the most.

Just because mankind has drifted off course..
Why do you unbelievers blame Christianity when it's clearly mankinds fault for not following the words of Jesus?

Nowhere in scripture are you going to find one hateful verse from Jesus. And that's what Christianity means "The following of Christ" - "Christ-Like"

So to the unbelievers.. DO NOT BLAME THE RELIGION ON THE ACTS OF MANKIND.

So in reality, When you condemn Christians for blowing up abortion clinics or the KKK...
You are condemning people that do not follow the words of Jesus..

Thank You for sticking for the Christian religion.

Because they see way too many of us not living the words of Jesus, too often not even trying to do so.

Following the one perfect person can be very, very hard and no one can do it perfectly. Still, we do need to hold ourselves to a higher standard than the world's standard.

They are shooting the messenger.

I imagine it is because many so called Christians have performed acts of what non-Christians have felt was hateful. Not to say the other ones have been perfect either...but a lot of hate and persecution has been in the name of Christ. People are sensitive and quick to blame the religion as a whole, not the followers who have done wrong.

Many people don't take the time to study the belief systems of another people as well, even in a scholarly manner. Although I am not a Christian, and have no desire to be one, I am interested in studying the texts and mythology...as I am Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim, Pagan etc. It is my opinion that greater understanding and acceptance can bridge gaps of intolerance. But I digress.

That's a very good point. Many times people lump all of Christianity together even with those who claim to be a Christian, but clearly don't follow Christ's teachings. If anyone is unsure about what a Christian is, they should go back to the source and read about Jesus in the Gospels. That is who we aspire to be like!

Christianity is the religion of love, and Christianity's founder showed us what love means in a way never fully replicated by anyone else in history. Christ's love has inspired literally billions of people, changing their lives.

Of the approximate two billion people who currently call themselves Christians, some are fakes. Jesus told us to expect fake Christians: "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."

Rochefoucauld said, "Hypocrisy is the tribute that vice pays to virtue." Those who join the KKK or bomb abortion clinics may pay tribute to Christianity, but their actions show them to be phonies. These standout hypocrites are very, very rare, the exception, and certainly not the rule. Nonbelievers who try to make a case against Christianity on the basis of rare exceptions show a flaw in their probabilistic reasoning.

And anticipate a definite or no answer. If he says definite, then ask him WHY. he's playing video games and you're able to stay away till he says stable issues. so which you're approximately 20 then. it is too quickly for many adult men to be severe at this age. BTW, you planned too a techniques forward while identifying on names to your toddlers. That replaced into previous actuality, into fantasyland. Every belief system has its critics, it's just a simple truth that isn't going to go away.

The problem is, so many people choose to attack, rather than just disagree.

People who do this aren't thinking rationally about the facts. They probably don't even know that much about the religion they supposedly despise so much. And because they have no real basis for their feelings, they have to use feeble arguments, such as "Christianity is a religion of hate." But that's not the only one, we all know there is an arsenal of slams against Christianity.

It's hard to accept, but you just can't expect to rationalize with someone who doesn't want to talk about facts. So we just deal with these statements and try to remember that what we belief is wonderful, no matter what anyone says about it.

Jesus the master teacher taught us the right way. Humans have preverted it for their own personal gain and power. Every religion is the same.. They are all about money and power to control others. I am a believer in God but not oranized religion..

Jesus clearly 'said' some not so loving things as well, funny how those sayings are overlooked constantly. Allow me to refresh your memory...

Jesus says that he has come to destroy families by making family members hate each other. He has “come not to send peace, but a sword.” Matthew 10:34

Jesus says, “Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace on earth! No, rather a sword lf you love your father, mother, sister, brother, more than me, you are not worthy of being mine. “The real beauty of this verse is that Jesus demands people truly love him more then they love their own family. I ask you how can we love someone that we can not see or interact with? Love is an emotion pertaining to physical existence not to faithful ideologies, yet God threatens you with Death just because your love for your mother maybe stronger than your love for him. Matthew 10:34

Families will be torn apart because of Jesus. “Brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death." Matthew 10:21

Jesus strongly approves of the law and the prophets. He hasn’t the slightest objection to the cruelties of the Old Testament. Matthew 5:17

Jesus condemns entire cities to dreadful deaths and to the eternal torment of hell because they didn’t care for his preaching. Matthew 11:20

Jesus, whose clothes are dipped in blood, has a sharp sword sticking out of his mouth. Thus attired, he treads the winepress of the wrath of God. (The winepress is the actual press that humans shall be put into so that we may be ground up.) Revelations 19:13-15

The beast and the false prophet are cast alive into a lake of fire. The rest of us the unchosen will be killed with the sword of Jesus. “An all the fowls were filled with their flesh.” Revelations 19:20-21

Jesus is criticized by the Pharisees for not washing his hands before eating. He defends himself by attacking them for not killing disobedient children according to the commandment: “He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.” Matthew 15:4-7

Abandon your wife and children for Jesus and he’ll give your a big reward. Jesus asks that his followers abandon their children to follow him. To leave your child is abuse, it’s called neglect, pure and simple. Matthew 19:29

Jesus criticizes the Jews for not killing their disobedient children according to Old Testament law. Mark 7:9

Because NOT all Christians love their neighbors!
There are Christians on here telling Atheist that they are going to burn in hell. And Christians bashing other Christians because of difference in beliefs.

I am in no way saying that this is true for everyone, but there are a lot of hypocrites!
