I'm from a town called Douglas, from the Irish "Dubh Glás" meaning "Black Stream" I was wondering what the Italian translation of "Black Stream" is.
No Babelfish answers please because anyone can find "Neroflumme" which i'd imagine is wrong. Native Italian speakers please, thanks!

The word 'stream' can have different translations into Italian.
If you mean small river you can translate it as ruscello or torrente and then it's 'ruscello nero' or 'torrente nero' as per previous answers..
It can be also translated with 'fiume nero' (black river).
Stream also means 'corrente' (Gulf stream - Corrente del Golfo) and in this case being 'corrente' a feminine noun the adjective 'nero' must be modified and translation would be 'corrente nera'.

Both answers above are right. You could say "torrente nero" too. Like in English, there are many words that mean stream.
