I eat beef. Each cow produces more towards global warming than each car.
I wanted to get a hybrid but found that my 1980 rabbit got better gas mileage. I also didn't find out what they do with the battery plant (that helps the hybrid engine while coasting and idling) once it goes bad.
I ride bikes whenever I can. One less person in front of you at the light.
Recycling takes energy and the people that have recycling ;plants do not use solar energy to recycle the materials.

A grassroot level initiative U-SEE - Unlimited Savings of Electrical Energy which gives to the world how we can stop misuse of electricity during day time when the sun is shining. My idea revolves around "bring home the sunshine" and "get moonlight from sunlight". Have a look at the following World Bank link and let me know if you want more details. The idea is a child's play and is so simple but saves billions of units of costly electricity and also reduces over exploitation of the natural resources like oil, coal, water and also reduces global warming from stopping burning of bulbs.

Funny Mr Jello doesn't believe in CO2 caused GW - yet he cites having an SUV as his contribution to GW.
Careful Mr Jello your sponsor may soon take away your funds.
Me - I own a V6 2.5L - have done for many years - I wont sell it . It hardly ever gets used - about 4 times a year it does a 400mile trip. Otherwise I cycle / walk to the station - train it to town and walk to work - about 2hr walking each day. On the route I take the buses aren't yet fuel cell powered.
(PS did anybody see the answer in ano question where some idiot posited that water vapour emissions were the major contributor the GW - it's too sad to be funny - there comes a point when ignorance is willful - at that point it is synonymous with evil and provokes visceral reactions) .

i have started to learn what is best for the planet. I recycle most of my waste. I have always remembered as children that you put left overs either in the dog or in the compost bin. We always passed on furniture or clothes to people who needed them when we no longer did. I grow my own veg if only in the early stages of learning this. I find it hard to get things to the right places to recycle as i have no trainsport. i walk everywhere. So recycling things that our local council does not collect can be very hard. Once every three months i hire a car or see a friend and take to the dump

I removed the oil rings from my cars engine. Now it burns 5 quarts of oil every 100 miles I drive. I cut trees down just to watch them fall. I installed a separate heating and air conditioning system in my house . I keep the air on 60 degrees and the heat on 90 degrees. This keeps them both running 24/7. I drive my gas guzzling 4x4 in low so it wastes more gas. I leave my hot water faucet on low so my hot water tank is always heating water 24/7. I never turn any of the (200 ) 100 watt bulbs in my house off. And last but not least, I have my 10,000 watt home theater system on 24/7 playing Al Gores Inconvenient Truth.

We collect rain water to water our veg and plants - we recycle all that Wiltshire will take. We have two compost bins. I only wash on 30 degrees now.
Not sure these help global warming but hey - it feels good.

I have done my part. I have changed all of my light bulbs. If we all do that, won't that stop global warming?
Now, I just have an environmental hazard in the event that one of my new bulbs breaks.
