If your father died, and you can prove the relationship, as in having his name on a birth certificate or other legal document that verifies he is your father, you may be elligible for Social Security payments until you graduate from high school or reach age 18. If he was in the military and honorably discharged, there are some states that offer tuition assistance to children of veterans, but that is limited to certain states and to the state college and university systems.
At one time the social security payments were extended through college, but that ended several years ago. Check with your local SS office and Office of veteran's affairs for information and qualifications.
