...when Jews separate themselves from the "messianic" or "jews for jesus" types? Especially Baptists, who started those groups in the first place as a conversion tool....

CMW: Telling me I need to define my religion based on how a madman defined "race" (there is onloy one human "race", anyone who says otherwise is trying to incite hatred or a superiority complex in people) is insulting. If some (not all, or most) of the people that are "messianic jews" today had parents or grandparents that were religiously Jewish, it still does not make a jesus worshiping religion any part of Judaism. "messianic judaism" as a religion is a misnomer, as the religion is not a form of Judaism.

CMW: You started with "race" the second you tried to invoke the Holocaust as a basis for determining someone's "Jewishness".

You can't seriously be saying that the Baptists started the Messianic Jews? There are a whole bunch of Jews in Israel that will get a laugh out of that statement, and another 100,000 in the US.

I'm a Christian and I study the writings of the Messianic Jews - and, yes, they are Jews.

I am not angry with any Jew who wants to distance himself from them. I'm pretty sure most of them have not listened to or read Dr. Michael Brown or Elhanan Ben-Avraham, for example, but that's their lookout.

I do find it shockingly sad that those whose families died in the Holocaust for no other reason than that they were Jews should be told they are no longer Jews. I disagree with people within my culture all the time, over lots of subjects, including God, but I don't say that I'm better than them or that their names have been removed from the culture.

P.S. The guy above me is right. We know a Christian (every person actually) by their works. Not every person who says, "I am a Christian," reflects that in his life.

Edit: I didn't use the word "race," you did. I didn't tell you that you "need" to do anything. I must be hitting a nerve because you're resorting to distortions and intentional misconstruction.

Maybe you can explain why you will not capitalize "christians," but you do capitalize "Jews," unless they believe in Jesus, and then you capitilize neither his name nor "jews." You've got a problem.

Last Edit: No, I did not. You brought in race and you're stuck with it. I have never in my entire life considered Jews a race. You're trying to put words in my mouth and that is very dishonest.

I am not, however, going to spend any more time arguing with you. I wish you well and an end to your bitterness.

What's really interesting is that most main stream churches do not recognize Messianic Jews as being Christian since most still embrace the Law. Most faiths believe that the Jews have a special convenant with G-d and need to be left alone.

Most people on here would be surprised to know that the whole Jews for Jesus movement is funded by Christians.

Yes, that's right. Christians are the main force behind Jews for Jesus. Baptists to be exact.

In fact most of their missionaries who claim to be Jews are really Christians. They are trained to know the answers to enough questions, know enough Hebrew and Yiddish to pass themselves off as Jewish - especially to those who are ill-informed about their faith.

Some Christian groups have a lot to gain by the Jews converting, and they resort to these underhanded means. These groups believe that the Jews have to start building the third and final temple before the Tribulation begins (and the future ruling of the world by Jesus). This is where the anti-Christ will declare himself G-d. They believe that the third temple must already be up before Tribulation begins.

The Jews have always been stubborn about converting. Over the centuries there has only been a handful of conversions from Judaism to Christianity. Now, when the Jews seem to be going their way, they reject them, claiming that they are not really Christians.

A lot of this comes from the Jews not giving up the Law. Christians want Jews to fully reject their heritage and fully embrace Jesus.

The other reason why Christians don't want Jews to reject Messianic Jews is they hope that these "completed" Jews, those that have converted to Christianity will bring more into the fold. Although Christians refuse to claim Messianic Jews as their own, they want the Jews to take them back in - to encourage more exposure to Jesus and more conversions.

"There is a rotten apple in every bushel" -----We are each made up of two elements Spirit/Human--The Spirit is perfect
the Human is not---The God of my understanging gave me free will----I am a cradle born catholic, I seperated myself from the Catholic "church" before the national scandel, It was not an over night decision, it took many years of listening,
reading, emotional and mential struggle. The bottom line was "Man made laws" Still I have respect for the good, There is good/bad in all where ever there is human envolvement, and there is human involvement every where, I try to draw on the good, and let the rest go. ---------------I don't really understand the jest of your Q---"False Christians" Who is the
judge if one is or isn't?
If I call myself a Christian, and try to live up to that to the best of my ability, then I am a Christian, A follower of Christ a believer. To me it is that simple, and the God of my understanding is my judge. I do not trust any one that says they have all the answers, or it is my church, my belief, or you are going to hell if you don't believe what I believe. Truely
the way your Q is posed, I donot understand who you feel is the more angry? I think it could be from either side, or any
person who is self-rightious and radical. Blessings

Not sure where you're coming from. I don't care if they try to separate themselves, just as long as they aren't imposing on the rights of the Messianic Jews.

Well false christians are people who do not believe in the ressurection and the crucifixion as what you believe in and base life around as a way to get to heaven. Its the only way, any other belief or religion that say they are christians but dont believe that are false christians.

I only get angry at people who insult and cuss at others. I only report bad language.

My father says he is a Christian because he was baptised Catholic 50 years ago, but he believes in bringing back slavery, shooting illegals on the boarder and mandatory abortion for all welfare mothers. Is he a fake Christian?

We know a Christian by their works

Hello! xx
When the religious man Nichodemous approached Jesus Christ in the night and asked Him what must I do to be saved?
He answered "you must be born again". John 3:3.
This is what makes the difference.
Take care!

Because apparently that kind of childish behavior only is allowed for Christians. Christians get to dismiss whatever stupidity they want to dismiss today while everyone else can't get away with it.
