My mom did it. She gave me a chocolate candy. I loved it and I still love it now. I will never forget that moment!

Probably my dad as I inherited his sweet tooth. Plus every year at Christmas he went to the wholesale house and bought several cartons of candy bars. He was a real hit among my friends. But especially then.

But the one I remember most fondly in that respect was my next door neighbor Mr. B. Everyday he'd come in from work and ask me if I had been good. If I had he'd give me a few pennies and a couple of peppermints. Dad always made sure I had spending money and I wasn't really crazy about hard peppermints. But I adored the extra attention. Plus it was kinda neat being trusted to be honest and rewarded when he didn't have too.

Mr. B. has been gone for 30 yrs. & though I don't know his real name I still remember him fondly. It still amazes me how some of the smallest kindnesses can have such huge impacts.

Hello:

My grandpa was the first one to buy me a package of plain M&M's and I still have the pictures to prove it,I was a year old at the time and that picture of my grandpa and I is just absolutely precious. He used to also buy me Hostess treats and any other kind of candy that I wanted, because he loved candy and sweet treats as much as I did! ;-)

My first candy given to me was the same person who bought it, and he who did it was; The Candy Man.

For the tips of the day,
Pam

I'm pretty sure it was my mom. She'd take me with her to do grocery shopping and buy me a Dum-Dum lollipop at the check-out. It was only ten cents back then.
