With the Christian Conservatives decrying science and science education, we could be in a lot of trouble in the next couple of decades.

China and Russia are starting to get a little ansy about projecting their power to the US. It does have a cold war feel to it but with the actions of the US in Iraq is it any wonder. People are getting nervous about the oil and which way the US will go next since Iran is trying to crush the dollar along with a little help from their friends. Russia firing missiles over the Artic too. Doesn't that sound like a little warning.

The article I read states that the US and China regularly attack each others systems. They are both guilty of the same thing.

Probably not. They just want to shut down and control the internet. If security was such an issue they would stop putting sensitive materials on computers.

Two thoughts
1) It's serious. They are testing our defenses.
2) Why are they doing it? In part to show the world that they can. The Chinese are about "saving face" (which is why they blame the US companies when they make lead coated toys).
3) The reason they deny it is also to save face. Everyone knows they did it, but if they admit that they did it, they look bad to the world.

Dubya has failed to secure Americas ports, and borders.
Add the Pentagons computer systems to that list as well.
P.S. - Patricia, China is controlling the US based on the sheer amount of debt that Dubya and co. have borrowed from them to fund his never-ending occupation of Iraq.
Wait until they decide to come and collect.

First it's the toothpaste, then toys, and now it's our computers?
What's next in the installment? Sounds to me like they feel left out.
[ maybe we should start looking for terrorists there ]

You can thank Clinton and Gore for this. They sold China top secrets and now they are using them against us.

you really don't want my thoughts. I believe we are living in what the Bible talks about : the"last days". of course they denied it, wouldn't you? (if you were them and if you had committed the crime?) it doesn't shock me, but upsets me. but i believe things will get worse even yet
