I don't live in the US, and I'm having trouble figuring out the maps, I was just wondering if anybody could help me out? Might be staying with some friends and I'd love to take a visit to see some plays and things. Thanks!

By far easiest to take subway.
5.8 miles on streets from Scholles & Manhatten Ave (picked by Google) to 49th & Broadway (picked by me) Up Graham, on Crosstown through tunnel, etc.

Just take the subway, the J/Z and M trains all cross the Williamsburg Bridge so you'll be in Manhattan pretty quick then you can get to Broadway from there. Where abouts in Williamsburg will you be staying? That way it'll be easier to tell you which train to take.

It's about 30 minutes on the subway. You'll definitely be close enough to everything if you're staying in Williamsburg!
