I would like there to be tastefull modern surroundings, the food choice to be original (not indian, chineese, italian) something different. London would be the easiest location, but within a hours drive of London would be good too. i know these are broad specifications, but hopefully this will give me a good variety of answers. cheers.

The Landmark hotel in London on Marylebone Road is amazing. Its a five star and a bit pricey but it has pretty much everything that you asked for in a hotel. Its stylish, modern and has fantastic suites and restaurants serving different foods.

Its not cheap but the runneymead spa hotel at Egham in surry is fab been there before had a spa break and hubby is taking me back there next month for my 40th cant wait its not far off the m25

Fishworks is a fish restaurant modern tasteful and very good but anyway
USE squaremeal.com great way to check out if everyone elses recommendations are any good reviews and stuff and prices

Situated in Temple Sheen near Kew...excellent rooms, modern style, good food, young owners and staff
