Yes, for this God Americans trust in is Law: Rule of Law.
What has Law said? "I will forsake you": Jeremiah 23:39.
What has it proven to do? 800,000 PTSD-ers feel forsaken.
What did JC say about it in John 5:45? Accuser of brethren.
What did Paul say? A ministration of condemnation & death.
What did John 3:17 say? God did not send his Son to Law.
Hell-o America, Law is the Problem, not the solution.
Law is the source and strength of sin's death "sting".
Law is faulty: it wrongfully convicts. Law is corruptible.
"Law worketh Wrath": is destructive, not constructive.
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

What was wrong with E Pluribus Unum?
This seems to fit with what I would consider the spirit of the US and the intent of its founders rather than the current motto. The change in 1956 seemed to herald the US decline in to religious mania rather than protecting the freedom of all.

not a lot. i'm particular there will be some stupid people who ought to prefer to be outraged and burn the money in protest, then be left broke with out funds, yet for the main section human beings will although use funds out of necessity. the ten pound british word has darwin on it. Creationists in britain are actually not likely to avert it like the plague.

In ourselves we trust- what could be more reliable than the evidence of our senses?
If we all just believed in ourselves instead of chasing after phantoms, the world would be a different place.

I think as a historical saying it should remain. If we try to erase our history in any form we'll be doomed to repeat it. I don't have any problem with keeping it on our money regardless of it's mythological implications.
I would rather see time and energy put into things like reforming morality that has been legislated.

I have always found disturbing that in US you write "in God we trust" on money. It is very ambiguous and one starts wondering what is meant by God there....

If the choices are, as you stated, God, science, or people, I'm sticking with God.
