Im a novice on 3 gun tournament & About to buy Benelli M4 shootgun for 3 gun tournament is this sufficient for the purpose

If its sufficient to be used by U.S. Marines then I would definitely say its sufficient for your 3 gun.

Besides its what I have in my 3 gun setup. Love that M4! It chews through anything I feed it.

Benelli does have something along the lines of the M1 or something smaller but it may not have the rails on top for optics.

I actually just had the opportunity to shoot one for the first time on saturday and came away extremely impressed. The gun fed and operated exactly as expected, but there was a strange button that I think engaged the firing pin or something.

Personally though, I prefer the 1187 law enforcement model, merely because I'm used to it. Some people don't like the "button" on the bottom for loading, but I'm used to it, so no big deal.

Now if you can swing the money for an M4, you will NOT be disappointed.

No, it is not good; it is one of the BEST. Your taste in shootguns meets with my approval; even though you seem to be human like me and have an occasional typo.
