My sis in law is pragnent and baby growing well. Just wondering why there is a green line across her belly and will it go away after giving birth? Any experienced people's advise?

The action of hormones during pregnancy tend to increase pigmentation of your nipples, areolae (brown area around your nipples) umbilicus (belly button) and your vaginal area. On the lower part of your abdomen; a dark line may form (linea nigra). You may notice an increase in pigmentation around your forehead, cheeks, nose and upper lip (mask of pregnancy). This will fade after delivery but may not completely disappear.-

Linea Nigra - A darkened line from the navel to the pubic bone that appears during pregnancy. Caused by hormonal changes.-

i think i know what you mean, i have a blood vein that runs right above my bellybutton and in the earlier stages it was kinda greenish. as i have gotten larger the vein has turned more of a purplish color though..nothing to worry about.
