Yes, no problem. You just wouldn't want to shoot rifled slugs through a rifled barrel. When using rifled slugs in a smooth bore barrel the shorter the barrel the better the accuracy. I know the Remington 870 express used to sell a combo package the standard barrel and a slug barrel witch was about 18 inches long with fixed front and rear sights, very nice shot gun. Best of luck afield to ya. O' yea if your barrel has choke tubes use the improved cylinder choke.

A rifled slug is made for a smooth bore shotgun and it is best to use a IC choke . A sabot slug is made for a rifled barrel and should not be shot out of a smooth bore shotgun. The sabot slug will not damage your gun but you will not be able to shot it accurate because there is no rifling . The best thing to do with a smooth bore shotgun is to get a few different kinds of rifled slugs and go to the range and see witch one shoot best out of your shotgun and then practice . I get a good grope from my Remington wingmaster with Remington rifled slugs at 50 yards .

Cylinder bore was designed just for the purpose of shooting slugs. You will find them to be the most accurate for a field grade shotgun.
