Generally, greasy foods are what causes spots. The condition of your skin is linked to the condition of your digestive system, so if your colon and intestines are blocked with rubbish, then your skin will be too.

Rubbish foods: Chips, crisps, highly processed foods, burgers, sausages, white bread, sweets, too much red meat, too much dairy product, fatty foods, highly processed breakfast cereals, carbonated sugary drinks, even very spicy foods can set off skin conditions. Watch out also for manufactured mayonnaise, pasta sauces, that kind of thing. Readymade meals are full of nasty additives.

You do need some oily foods - oily fish are excellent sources of oils that actually benefit your inner organs, as as seeds such as pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, linseeds and nuts in general. However, you should make sure you're not allergic to these before you start eating them, and and even then a small amount of nuts goes a long way.

There is no easy way to keep yourself healthy, other than eating healthy food, avoiding the unhealthy where possible (the occasional feed of chips won't hurt, but keep it occasional), and staying active and getting regular exercise and sleep. This will help your overall condition enormously.

And very important for the quality of your skin: drink 8 glasses of fresh water every day. Works wonders.

There is, in fact no medical proof to suggest that eating specific foods can increase or decrease spots. Maintaining a healthy, balanced diet is the key to eluding those pesky pimples.

The only real diet advise regarding spots is to drink plenty of water, exercise and dont smoke.

People under stressfull situations such as exams or debt often suffer from spots.

What you eat effects every part of your body, if all you eat is fatty, greasy food your skin will be starved of vital nutrients and therefore wont look it's best. Drinking lots of water and eating good food will help you skin look it's best but sometimes spots just cant be avoided.

People think greasy food is that causes spots but I'll tell you what it is...People who touch their face while eating greasy food is how you get spots from greasy food

There are quite a few factors that cause spots. I suffered from spots terribly and only recently managed to control it. It is hormonal, it is food, it is what you drink, it is stress, it is touching your face with/without dirty fingers, If you dont moisturise properly...if your pores are open and there are pollutants/ dust in the air.... it is all of these things + more. try doing the opposite of these things. My advice a good cleanser, moisturiser and plenty of water.

spots can be caused by your skin being in the sun for to long..talking over periods of years...your skin must have been exposed to the sun without protection..causing it to go uneven.

i have not heard of specific food that will cause this.

There are creams that will help get rid of these spots..or reduce their appearance.
If your not sure which one to get, go to your doctor and he will be able to advice the best cream for your skin.
