No, it looks uncool unless the person redeems himself with strong self-confidence and charisma. I've witnessed that.

Don't even buy a brown suit. They are the lowest form of workwear, below fluorescent jackets and hobnail boots (which are at least serviceable). If a guy wears brown, he has no idea about clothes. Big no-no. Grey, black, dark blue and navy suits are fine, but a light color like a white suit is strictly for vacations only.

If brown works for you wear it!!
Brown is pretty neutral for both men and women and I find it looks great on some people

if you feel nice wearing a nice retro looking suit it may be cool. But you have to support this specific style with proper accessories.
