My mind is always going. It's always thinking about something, it never shuts down and its driving me nuts. It's keeping me from living the life I want to live. How can I train my brain to tune out all the little, unimportant thoughts that creep to my attention and only focus on me living out the life I was meant to live?

Let God become your best Friend and let him have a way in your life. He loves you and doesn't want you feeling this way you need peace and he is the only one who can give it. Pray pray for God to give you that peace and that focus you need and he will you just got to give him a chance. We all need to think and we all over think it's part of life but some times we do need to slow down and take a rest. you can calm your self down by praying give it a try and you'll see what I'm talking about have God remove all sin away and have him become Lord and savior over your life. All God wants is for you to be set free and have internal life he loves you and wants the best for you. All you have to do is talk to him tell him what's bothering you and what you want to be healed from and he will do it because that' s how much he loves you. ones you open up to god you will feel that great inner peace and will have control over your thoughts. keep your focus on him get your bible and read it if you don't have one go out and buy one it's worth it. Understand that you need to Set your goals and priority's strait we all come to a point where we need to get that done . you need to invest your time into what you would like to become or do. Think positive and remember God loves you and want's the best for you and you will be alright.
Good luck!

Peace, lot's of it. If you have a personal relationship with Jesus, he helps us in areas we would not even think it's possible for him to fix, but how bad do you want to gain back control of yourself and your life? Stop thinking to drive yourself mad, there is hope. You know you have a problem, the next step is do you believe Jesus can heal you, and if your answer is yes, praise the Lord. We don't belong to self, we belong to Christ and he can make us well, by his stripes we have been healed. You just have to ask him in your life and know that the battles you deal with alone aren't helping you get by because we can't make it without Jesus. With Jesus in our lives we have peace, and he is with us in our storms, his words don't go void...

If you have never receive Jesus as your savior, all you got to do is invite him into your heart as your savior. The healing process will begin, and great things will unfold...I don't trust in man, I trust in my Lord, Jesus Christ... Jesus is all about friendship and fellowship, our bodies are the church. We must go through Christ first to get to our heavenly father. He is all in one the father, son, and holy ghost. Philippians 2:7, reads: but made himself of no reputation, taking the form of bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.
