My brother went to college last Thursday and I really miss him. I don't know if he's happy... he keeps telling us he is, but I don't think he is. He's three hours away, so it's not like I can up and visit him. I don't know what I'm asking for... just needed to post it somewhere.

If you miss your brother, that is understandable. But why do you think he is unhappy since he says that he is happy? Unless he tells you otherwise, believe that he is happy. And be happy for him! College is a great experience. You'll be going to college someday too - it doesn't mean you have gone away forever!

I'd say try and get in touch when you can via phone/email. Let him know how much you think of him and love him. That's about the best that I can do!
