My car was parked at a store when another car backed into it. I got all of her info. but when I filed with her insurance company they sent me a letter saying she had cancelled the policy almost a month before. I filed a police report but it was before I found out about the non exsiting insurance policy. They offerd to pay for the damage but when day came for them to pay me no-call no-show. Its been a month since this happend....What should I do???

Go through your own insurance---they have ways to find out her current insurance if she has any. Otherwise, you'll have to fix the car through your own insurance, pay the deductible and wait for the insurance co to get reimbursed by her or her insurance---they have lawyers to get the money back and that's what you pay them for. Usually parking lot accidents don't require a police report if the damage is under 5000.00----private property.

THE POLICE REPORT THAT YOU HAVE IS PERFECT AND YOU DON'T NEED TO GET ANOTHER ONE.

I ASSUME THAT YOU HAVE SOME PROOF THAT HER INSURANCE WAS NOT IN EFFECT, LIKE SOME TYPE OF LETTER, IF NOT YOU ARE STILL OKAY.

JUST GO DOWN TO THE COURTHOUSE AND FILE A CIVIL CASE AGAINST THEM.

THIS WORKS ALL THE TIME AND AFTER YOU WIN AND YOU WILL, THE JUDGE CAN START GARNISHMENT OF THEIR WAGES.

GOOD LUCK

Filled another police report... you still have the culprits phone number right? The police will take care of it, because you are innocent on this case.. so just go with the law.
