I suffer from major anxiety. I have been to counselling but it only worked for a while. I do not want to take adavan or something like that, does anyone know anything herbal that will help. Or anything else that can help.

i dont think you will find a counselor who thinks you are taking advantage of such a service.... so go back to yer counselor... and let is help you more

Hey Keko! I know you don't want to take prescription meds for this, but that's something you really should discuss with your doctor, and not us here.

Herbal remedies are not proven to work. Sometimes, they can even make things worse, or work against any other medications you may be taking.

Have you learned to meditate? Or, if that is too weird for you, how about just some deep breathing, while concentrating on something pleasant (it can be music, something visual, scent, etc.). This helps me with mild anxiety.

You could try yoga or autogenous training or hypnosis. Physical exercise also works, if you do it on a regular base. It all depends on the reason which causes your anxiety.
