How wrong can a person be? I'm sorry to say but as a non-believer, I know that I am going to live after my death and I can prove it. Those of you believing in Heaven are blind to the truth. Those faiths that believe in Reincarnation are the closest to the truth. When this body of mine dies, I continue living in my daughter. She is me! She carries my genes and therefore, I live on. I will only die if a time comes that there is no breeding by my ascendants. Therefore, as it is scientifically proven that I do not die, I live on through others and know what is going to happen to me. How many so called believers in God can honestly say that they know what will happen to them? and how many can prove it?

I don't Care. A normal Person has a Pretty Long Life and to me thats enough. I guess according to you, if we pray we can live longer from an illness. What is the point then? If we are going to live happier when we die why pray? Now for me, I really think life has it's good things and bad things. It's a balance. When I die, I will be happy and accomplished. I don't believe I will go to this "heaven" or "hell" anytime at all. And the reason is because none of this exsists and I've already lived my life to the fulest. It's really not right of you to put us athiests down to make us fall to the ground and force us to believe in your god. There is a harm in believing, None of it's true and I am not a liar so I will not believe in something that is not there. I got here by My mom doing it with my dad and me developing into a young woman. Hope I answered your question ;]

The harm in believing is mainly to do with the time and effort wasted in performing all the rituals and dances y'all have to do.

Me? I'm a quiet sorta guy – selfish too; I live for me.
My mind or body is not for sale or rent to any god or government.

As well as that I couldn't keep a straight face if I started talking to invisible sky thingies in which there'll never be a hope in hell of my believing in.

I hope I didn't hold back or mince my words but I'll bet any amount of money you have no idea what I'm on about and the next question you'll ask is why don’t I believe in whatever you’re selling?

Cos invisible and or imaginary 'gods' do not exist – there is no proof they have ever existed outside of ONE book some call The Bible but I call: The Goat Herders’ Guide to the Galaxy.

You do realize that there is a catch 22 in this whole eternal life thing. As long as the Apocolypse doesn't happen and God does not make his/her judgement, then nobody is going to get resurrected. Also, even when it does happen, can you imagine how long it is going to take to pass judgement on every single people who ever lived? It would be real fun waiting in line for an eternity.

If you ask where we came from, then I ask you where did God come from? If you can't belive that the Universe came from nothing, then how can you belive that God came from nothing? It is the same concept, except with the Universe replaced by God.

So why do theists have a problem spelling atheists?

Anyway, what gives you the idea all atheists have the same thought?

What is the harm believing in it is actually reincarnation of a old soul? What is the harm believing your life is really over once you die?

If I say I get here by reincarnation in the first place, do you accept it? If you can't why do you think we should accept your ideas?

-------------

Halo .... did you not read my answer? Now, tell me why can you not believe in reincarnation? What is wrong with your father impregnated your mother to have you? Why do you think you know the answer as god? Isn't that a form of escape from reality? I feel sad and sorry for your ignorance.

So what you are saying is we should believe in it just because it sugar coats, rather than face the harsh reality? You are saying better to have a false belief because it makes you all warm and fuzzy inside, and gets you through life and fear of death.

No, i don't live in fantasy land. I would rather be realistic. I am content enough to have a life now, and thankful that i ever got this in the first place. While i am alive i intend to live it, and that's enough for me.

Oh dear chipmunk, I don't want to control anyone. I also dont want to preach AT anyone. I will pass on the message that God has asked me to, no mess no fuss, insisting on nothing. I can't make anyone do anything that they dont CHOOSE to do, God gave mankind free will, what you do ith that is up to you.

I have found that many agnostics and athiests have a limited arguement. Because they believe that God isn't there that must make it so. I have spent several years researching BOTH sides of the arguement. I ave an IQ well over 120, I am a qualified engineer and currently work at the top of Information Technology. I am not stupid, gullible or weak willed (my time in the British Armed Forces helped with that), but I believe in Jeus Christ and in God and the Bible as God's word and it's 100% truth.

Maybe if athiests and agnostics were to research BOTH sides of the arguement fully, they may find enlightenment too?

See? All religion boils down to fear of death.

I don't look forward to termination but I'm not childish enough to make up elaborate fantasies about an afterlife. Everything ends.

And about the "how did we get here", ask your mom and dad or take a course in evolutionary biology.

What's the harm in believing?

I cannot believe something I have no proof for, I guess I'm just wired that way. I have no problem with the not-knowing. SOme people can't deal with this.

I also have a problem with patriarchal religions. A big one. They use fear of death (and promise of eternal life) to spread malicious propaganda about non-believers.

the harm, dear stacie, is that there is no good reason to think it's true. that may not seem like a big deal to you but the truth matters to me. do you want someone to explain how babies are made?

"athiests lol.... they still can't answer the question of how they got here."

typical theist, we answer your question and you explain what you *really* meant. why don't you just admit that you don't want an answer to the question?
