I really have no motivation to shoot a wolf, deer or not, wolves eating deer is just nature at work, and like you said, the deer population is skyrocketing so they can't be eating that many, and like was mentioned above i am pretty sure that wolf hunting in the USA is illegal, but not 100 % sure on that.

I haven't heard hunters of any kind complain about the deer population. I guess that is because you and I run in different circles.
The only people I have heard complain about the deer population are some folks back East who took over the deer's habitat and built houses on it. They then prohibited any killing deer. Now there are so many deer, they are eating everything in sight and getting all kinds of disease from overpopulation, and if you wanted to shoot one now, you can't. One rifle shot would kill the deer, and 2 of the neighbors.

now before i start let me say that i enjoy observing wolfs from across the canyon that i usually see them. however my grandpa and i were hunting elk last year. now an elk will usually feed my family for 2-2/12 years. if we get more than one we will typically turn the meat into jerky which will last forever. well it was the last day of the hunt and we had not seen that much sign compared to last year where we saw plenty but we still didn't harvest. we had been hiking in the rough, rocky mts of Idaho for 3 days and we were really tired so we set up a blind and sat down to take a rest and you know what the first thing we heard was? a wolf howl. to say the least we were PISSED. not only because we had wasted a half a week hunting in wolf country but we had to go and buy all our meat that winter at the market. for us the wolfs cost us more harm than good.

From the cyrillic lettering on your avatar, and your comments, you must not be from the USA. Or you are simply posting a moronic comment intentionally.
Here, wolves are a protected species.

Why do you consistently taunt and bait people over and over again about wolves? This is a hunting section which of course you already know from your past abuses here. Don't go away mad. just go away. No one here cares what you think. You are just about stirring up controversy, nothing more important or of any value. Get a life and go elsewhere

Wolves are beautiful animals, they are far more beneficial than harmful in the animal kingdom.*

why do people love to wear fur? for us (you and me) its really disturbing that you killed a helpless animal. for fashion. we should protect them from extinction for the next generations to come.
