I am coming in from spending five months traveling internationally, so I will have a lot of luggage.

I know it makes more sense to just fly out of LAX, but I have reasons for doing it this way. (Price, direct flights, etc.)

Depends on your budget - you can take super shuttle for around $40. If you have more then an executive sedan is great but will probably run you about $80-$100. You could rent a car - you can get a cheap car on Priceline - I've placed a bid on there before for $15. +15 for insurance and got a compact car for the day.

There are a pair of a thank you to try this: Take the Flyaway bus from LAX to downtown ($7), then take the Metrolink to Burbank Airport on the Ventura line. Or take the Antelope Valley Line, get off at Burbank downtown, and take a Burbank bus or metro bus to the airport. apparently, they have Flyaway busses that flow to Van Nuys, Union Station, Irvine, and Westwood, yet no longer something to BUR. i assume there is not any longer adequate call for.

If you have luggage Super Shuttle is your best route.
If you don't have luggage Super Shuttle is your best route.
The red line will dump you in the middle of an unsecure parking lot, no where near the airport, and with no taxis around....

If you are interested in public transportation, you can use the "Flyaway Union Station" from the World Way North/Tom Bradley Terminal, which will take you to Union Station where you can take the Metro Rail (RED LINE) to N. Hollywood and then take the METRO BUS 163. Your travel time will be approx. 90-120 mins and cost approx $7.00.

The Flyaway is $4, One way ticket on Metro Rail is $1.25 and bus fare is $1.25.

You can find different routes and approx travel time with the www.metro.net travel planner.

you have a few choices, you could take the Van Nuys flyway bus
to the Van Nuys terminal then taxi from there,
or you could take the Flyway to Union station, then board
either Metrolink or amtrak train for Bob hope (burbankl) airport

I work at LAX. Supershuttle or Primetime Shuttle. You can take a taxi, they have taxi vans, but the shuttle are less expensive.
