The answer is simple. Say bye bye to the girlfriend. I don't care if you feel like it is love.
So many people marry the wrong person, And when they get older they have the wisdom to know what they want and need.
I personally wouldn't put up with such negative energy.

I sure wish I had honored my self and not married someone who ruined my life. Actually I ruined part of my life because I put up with a very bad situation.

If she is religious explain to her that having fights with her is affecting your spiritual life and that you would like to work together to improve that area of your relationship. If she won't listen it may be a sign that things are not going to work out.

If religion is a really important thing in your life, ask her if she's willing to cope w/ your beliefs or even convert.
If not, make the right choice....... don't let anyone get in the way between you and God.

I hate to say it but Peggy S. is right......it probably will never work, you have (in my opinion) to have a power greater than yourselves, then comes your relationship. Good luck!
