I had problems with Plantar Fasciitis. I bought Dr. Scholl's insoles for
Plantar Fascitis and it helped tremendously. My Dr. told me it was over
use. I had been walking for miles and also heavy exercise and that's
what caused it. Yes, it really does hurt---badly.

Rest is the first treatment for plantar fasciitis. Try to keep weight off your foot until the inflammation goes away. You can also apply ice to the sore area for 20 minutes three or four times a day to relieve your symptoms. Often a doctor will prescribe nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen. A program of home exercises to stretch your Achilles tendon and plantar fascia are the mainstay of treating the condition and lessening the chance of recurrence.

You can look up plantar fascitis on yahoo health and it'll bring up links to a bunch of articles on it.
In the meanwhile, make sure the shoes you are wearing have good arch support, or get some inserts to help, and that they have a good cushion inside to help soften the blow to your heals.
If it is really bad, see a foot doctor. I've been dealing w/foot problems and seeing one and he's great.

Plantar Fascitis is usually a unilateral condition but sometimes it may occur bilaterally.
Is it a morning pain or you get it any time of the day?

Yes, it can be in both feet. The most likely contributor is your choice in footwear. One of the worst inventions ever created was the high heel. It causes the tendons and muscles of the calf, heel and sole of the foot to shorten and spasm, causing intense pain.

It is not normal. You need to see a doctor about this, and do it soon. You do not have to suffer this pain. Only a doctor can tell you what the problem is and what has to be done to correct it.
