Yes, it can cause a seizure condition that shows up later. My vet told us that it damages the pancreas and can weaken the heart. Such happened to my little dog.

Hard to tell. I imagine if the dog ate chocolate, you would see symptoms half an hour to an hour after he ate it. A few weeks later i think, sounds like a different problem. Dogs can have epilepsie. Take him to a vet if having seizures. It is a serious problem and needs to be seen too.

A dog can die depending on how much chocolate he ate. But I think you already know that.

As for the seizures, if not chocolate related take your dog to the vet for a check up.

If chocolate related (seizures) take your dog to the vet.

Can't be guessing about either.

it really depends how much it ate it may not necessarily result in seizures but i can result in a bloated stomach, poisoning and then again yes, maybe even seizures. if you gave your dog chocolate a couple of weeks ago or recetly, you need to take it to the doctor asap because giving chocolate to dogs can also result in death

Honestly I dont know.

My older dog is like 15 or 16 (she was a stray) and when I was little at easter I used to give her all the stingy brand chocolates I didnt like. Nothing happened to her. She lived 4 years more than we thought, and she is still going!

Yes. Theobromine toxicity is cumulative, meaning it will 'store' itself in the canine's body and have long-term effects as it builds up. Did the dog have any symptoms at the time of ingestion, or ingest smaller amounts of chocolate multiple times?

When any dog eats chocolate, it affects the pancreas, therefore causing diabetes.
