Psalm 37:9-11:
For evil men will be cut off,
but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land.
A little while, and the wicked will be no more;
though you look for them, they will not be found.
But the meek will inherit the land
and enjoy great peace.
Jesus echoes these words in Mathew 5:5:
Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
Seems self explanatory. Believe and obey.
Blessings,
jack

Read the King James Bible at Psalms 83:18. It shows you the LORD's name. It is this LORD that Psalms 37 is talking about. He will use his son Jesus to act in his behalf.
But for those who are not in line to be saved at this time don't have to stay that way. All of us can make the choice to do God's will in our lives. He forgives in a large way.-- Isaiah 55:6-11
(Footnote: If you read in all Bibles in the "Preface" it tells you that the translators took God's name out and replaced it with LORD.)

Psa 37:9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
Psa 37:10 For yet a little while, and the wicked [shall] not [be]: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it [shall] not [be].
Psa 37:11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

This is one of my favorite Psalms.
It has to do with two groups:
1) Those that reject God:
2) Those that are faithful to God.
In a philological meaning, 'meek' is a word used in Egypt as referred to a tame horse. Not a man who is afraid of his own shadow and that wears glasses.
Those who are tamed shall inherit the Earth.
Those that are against God: The Wicked, are cut off. They go to the place we do not name.
