Yes I do know that gospel but unfortunately people don't treat others the way they want to be treated they treat others the way they don't want to be treated, so very few people do follow that gospels advice, yet if more people would follow it then we would have a much nicer world to live in,no wars, no prejudice, no hatred, no violence, no crime etc. but i do know people who do live according to the advice of this gospel and I do try to live by it also, I'm not perfect so I do not always succeed in living by it 100% but I try, it's all I can do is try.

Not a Christian but try to live by this simple "treat others how you want to be treated" rule. It only makes sense. Me and babyboy was getting of the bus and then we waited to help a sweet old lady that I noticed in the back of the bus earlier. We helped her across the street and had a little talk about the baby (I just started learning Flemish which is spoken in the part of Belgium we live in) she was so nice and I wish I could have talked with her some more.
Have a great day!

it actually says- but if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemed the guiltless, matthew 12:7. U mean matthew 7:12. Don't agree with people unless u look it up. matthew7:12 is the golden rule do unto other as u would have them do unto u.

Although I am not Christian, I try to remember that in everything I do.
As for examples, check out my answers here. I tend to give mild answers even to inflammatory questions for a reason.

I believe the line goes: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
It sounds so much more poetic coming from King James than one of those "new english" versions.
"Cast ye not thy pearls before swine" has also become "Don't give your pearls to pigs." No wonder nobody appreciates the Bible anymore. No artistic merit.

Matthew 12:7 stated that:
"If you had known what these words mean, 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice, you would not have condemned the innocent."(NIV)

I can't go into all the specific details, but can say that I am using my relationship with G-d and Jesus the Christ -- to reach out to another person who is in need of encouragement and help.
"Love your neighbor as you do yourselves."
"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
"Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us."

Listen to this guy trying to tell you what a "better translation" he has for something that was written in a language that he doesn't understand. ROTFL

It's not what a man puts into his mouth that makes him unclean, but what comes out.
I'm not sure that was in context. lol
