I think people aren't as attentive as they should be or could be. If everyone focused more on what others were truly saying less misunderstandings would occur.

I think this question really hit the point. Women do misunderstand men. We think we know what we really want and then change our minds in the middle of things. Just as we do we have lost sight of what this man is saying. If we focus more on what the real needs of a man then this will no longer to an issue.

Also this will help a men to keep up with us. He may never understand us but at least he will keep up.

People often misunderstand people
or if you still want to look at men and women as totally different things
then I would say men and women in essence purposely confuse one another
during first impression phase both parties only wish to show their best qualities and opt not to reveal their true selves so this is how misunderstandings happen

"What? What do you mean you hate 80s hair bands? You've been listening to White Snake while drove since we started dating!"

"I didn't want to be rude before ,but I really prefer slow jams."

it is both. Men are often not good at explaining their emotions. They often give a facial expression that only another male can understand

Women make the mistake thinking that men need to read between the lines.........or just KNOW what they are taling about.

Men need to ask more questions to keep things clear.
Women need to say exactually what they mean and never expect a man to figure things. Men can't read your mind, and men shut down if a woman is saying things like.....IF I have to tell you then you don't care. NONO women.
Think of men as ones who need a clean explaination of what you want and when.

Men need to let their feelings out more. Men need to continue to romance their woman rather to expect that they are fine because you maarried them.

I think it just goes both ways. I am a woman and I will never understand men and I know men will just never understand women. We look different, act different and feel differently. It is just the way it is!

I think it's mostly men don't understand women because we are complicated wacky creatures with hormones going off kilter every month along with the rest of the issues we have! It's easier to try and NOT understand us! ;o)
