Visitors do not require an entry permit if staying 30 days or less. Those intending to stay longer should apply for an entry permit prior to arrival. Intending visitors should obtain visa and other travel information from their travel agent or the US Embassy.

All people entering American Samoa must pass through U.S. Immigration and Customs. U.S. citizens need only proof of citizenship (bearing a photograph) to enter American Samoa. However, if you have a passport bring it as this speeds entry both here and back into the United States (entry into American Samoa is not the same as entering the U.S.). Citizens of other nations must have passports to enter American Samoa. Everyone must possess a ticket for return or onward passage.

U.S. citizens returning from American Samoa are permitted a duty free allowance of US$800 rather than the usual US$400 if it all originated in American Samoa.

You do not tell where you are from.

http://www.delta.com/planning_reservations/plan_flight/international_travel_information/visa_passport_information/index.jsp will tell you a lot.

http://travel.state.gov/travel/cbpmc/cbpmc_2223.html will tell you the rest, when you find the right page that is.
