Why do you reject Islam? Think about it for a minute. Why do you reject the faith itself?

Now, why do you think the Qu'ran isn't the perfect word of god? For what reasons do you find this book less than perfect?

Thank you!

I am a Christian, but I have read the Quran and it compliments the Bible in many respects.

I don't think either book is the "perfect" word of God, since they were both written by the hand of man.

Upon reading my Christian Bible, I've found that the Old Testament promises Abraham that his "seed" would become a great nation in the world. Both books teach this, actually.

Abraham's "seed" was his TWO sons. The way I see it, both brothers were to become great nations. And they both have. The big controversy here is that neither line wants to accept the greatness of the other.

Did I mention that Abraham was a Pagan? The GOD of Abraham is the same God for Christians and Muslims. And since my Bible specifically mentions "the God of Abraham", that must mean that even the the narrator of the story believed that there is more than one god.

Someone metioned the young wife of Muhammad - I just wanted to add this - if my Bible's "day" could mean "1000 years", who's to say that we Christians shouldn't be accepting a "9yo girl" as a "90 yo maiden"? The Bible isn't literal, so I've been told as a Christian - so why do Christians take the Quran so literally?

Unless a person is arabic, then it would be following an OTHER god. An OTHER god was defined at the time of Abraham as one that you personally have not known or one that was unknown to your fathers.

Basically, it is going with the concept that the SPIRIT is EVERYWHERE. All one really has to do is open up their window to see god. When people convert, they have to give the definitional forms, which is NOT the SPIRIT but rather an idealized form or idol from another group of people.

Secondly, one could use the history of Abraham. The tower of babel story after the FLOOD. God scatters the people all over the world and CONFUSES the WORD. The first question would be 'when did god UN-CONFUSE the WORD to make something like the quran 'truth'. Just cuz some people claim it to be 'truth', doesn't it make it 'true' for anyone else.

Then one looks at the person CLAIMING it as 'truth'. The FIRST question in this case would be 'are you a sinner?" IF a sinner is willing to LIE and DEFY their OWN god, truth is NOTHING is sacred to them. IF a sinner is willing to LIE and DEFY their own god, how can a mere human expect a sinner to speak the 'truth' to them.

THIRDLY, one can look at the actions of the Prophet in question. Any prophet that says that a person doesn't have to follow the Laws of god or advocates an OTHER god---one that the person has not known or one that was unknown to their fathers, is a 'false prophet'.

THEN there is the whole thing about Mohummed taking a 9yo girl to wife that might lean some people in viewing the man as 'immoral'. Even at the TIME it was scandelous.

For one thing it is not the only Koran, and it is VERY commonly stated that it is. But that only proves that the believer's of the Koran are mistaken.

Another thing is that it teaches a denial of Christ as the Son of God. The Holy Spirit has persuaded me that the idea is antichrist by John's definition of the word.

For another thing it is historically flawed. Historically because Ishmael was not the recipient of the greater promises that Isaac got. They are mistaken about that as well as the Koran.

It is scientifically flawed because babies are not formed by becoming a lump of flesh, which then becomes bone, and then is covered by a lump of flesh. That is not what they teach medical students. There is no 'all bone' stage in fetal development.

Also there is the "BIG DUH" factor concerning hills and mountains. They are deeper than they appear! REALLY?!!!!
DUH!

But in all seriousness, Muslims are the single best reason why not to become one. They think that stoning Gays and treating women like cars is a good way to be. They think that jihad is wonderful. And I don't ! I have enough struggles in life, the last thing I need is to have some Muslim come and impose another struggle on me. They need to learn to keep their struggles to THEMSELVES.

You owe it to yourself to read, "Satanic Verses" and then you will have a side of Islam that they don't want you to know about.

Islam = Ishmael. Born of a hand maiden. Not the promised son.

The King Hasbro edition of Transformian Schematics is the true word. Repent, pagans, or face the wrath of Unicron unless you follow Optimus Prime.
