Great answer Cowboy Christian!

When my brother told me he was going to give me a truck, I started thanking him right then and there. I did not wait until I got it. And I'm not waiting until I'm IN heaven to thank Jesus for my salvation either.

That's Faith! Because God already knows what we need, we can thank Him in advance for answering our prayers and believing that He will. Having faith is the key to answered prayer.

Oh My God that's so smart of you!!!! I believe you do praise God in advance with faith that He *will* answer your prayer, not because you want to trap God so He HAS to grant your wishes

the only factor you're doing incorrect is you're getting too labored up over it. Did God pay attention your prayer? specific. Are you His loved baby? specific. Does He choose in basic terms reliable on your existence? specific. So, loosen up! Take a deep breath, and bypass do something else. Get the retainer off your innovations for in basic terms a minute or so. Even bypass so some distance as to desire, "ok God, that is on your hands now. If for despite reason i'm no longer able to locate it, then i understand you will furnish the money to interchange them." that doesn't advise you're awaiting to no longer locate them, in spite of the undeniable fact that it skill you have permit the problem bypass and have became it completely over to God. have faith me, in the present day it is your retainer; yet contained sooner or later, it particularly is going to be issues a lot greater significant to you. God's purely working on your faith mussels which you will talk. you will locate them, and advantageous earlier you bypass t mattress this night. God bless!

I pray to praise God. Why should I only pray when I want someting out of him? When I do need help or I want to pray for some one in need I start off my pray with praise to God, because I know every prayer will be answered. Some times the answer is no and some times the answer is no.

The Model Prayer
Matthew 6
5 “And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 6 But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.[b] 7 And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.
8 “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. 9 In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
10 Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
13 And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

The Word Hallowed means: To respect or honor greatly; revere.

So when Jesus gave us this "Model Prayer" he started off with praise to God! He also ended his prayer with praise to God!

Pre-emptive praising. I'm back to praise Optimus Prime. Through Him all things are cool. The minions of Megatron tried to suspend me, but to no avail. Thanks for the points.

being thankful in advance is a very satisfying to the soul. I dont think that you should search for a reason to do it if you know in your heart that it is the right thing to do.

Yes I do! In 1Jn 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
1Jn 5:15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
We learn that He hears us and that if we ask according to His Will He will do it. Thus I thank Him in advance. Furthermore we are to give thanks in everything. 1Th 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
