no, because that's just as bad as taking them out of schools. Don't get me wrong, I'm a christian, and I pray often, and when I was in school it wasn't that big of an issue to say a prayer before a test, or a blessing over our lunches, but to me a mandatory prayer takes away freedom of speech (or silence) the same as the forbidding of it. Also the right to choose and freedom of religion- no matter what it may be. Even if people dont agree with whatever that religion may be.

I think if they can make you stand up and pledge to a flag they should be able to pray.
The Lord is the one who is watching over all of us so He should be acknowledged. Making it mandatory though might stop alot of violence in schools. People just really don't realize how powerful prayer is.

I think if someone doesn't believe in God then while prayer is going on they could just stand quietly or pray to whom ever they believe in.
Wasn't it after they took prayer out of the schools that we started hearing about all of the school killings? Yes I believe so!!

No I don't. But I believe if a group of kids want to get together to study the bible on their own time on school grounds, they should be able to do it.

No

Because the prayers offered would no doubt be to a certain religion's God...

I'd think the Christian God...

And since I don't believe in that God, I would be offended.

No. It would be wrong to force non-religious kids into prayer, or other religions into whichever religion was praying.

Offer a silent time for the children, whether they pray to God or envision the Playboy hidden under their dad's bed is up to them, in the end.

I really don't care if you yourself want to pray, but you have no right to try and shove it down anyone's throat. Mind your own business, and leave everyone else's alone.

No. Everyone doesn't worship the same way and to force someone to pray is wrong.

I think Christianity should become a subject in schools or at least an elective.
