Taiwan was ruled by Japan (1895-1945). The Taiwanese fought for the Japanese during WWII. So no, there was no experimentation by the Japanese although some of the Taiwanese women were used as comfort women or sex slaves.

The Taiwanese were severely oppressed and, in many cases, kept near starvation by the Japanese during WW2, but I do not know about "experimentation."

I was recently talking to two elderly Taiwanese people through an interpreter (their granddaughter) about this very thing. The grandfather was a child in mainland China when the Japanese came and killed most of his family. And the grandmother was a child in Taiwan during that time... what she remembers most is that there was nothing to eat but yams.

no. japan did not treat the taiwanese citizens in horrible ways. in fact, they built much of their education, infrastructure and society of what it is today.

if you've been to taiwan there are many people that like japan alot more than china.
